UPDATE 12/9/16 11:30 p.m.
Slime lickers owner Chuck Pappas has filed a lawsuit against the makers of the popular candy corn candy and licker.
The lawsuit filed in a federal court in San Diego alleges that the candy corn company, the American Candy Company, did not pay the wages of employees at its Los Angeles, California, factory.
Pappas, who owns the candy company for 25 years, was paid $60,000 a year before the lawsuit was filed.
In its complaint, Pappis’ lawyer says he received a severance package worth about $50,000 in 2016 and another $30,000 last year.
Papps’ lawyers said the suit also claims the company paid a $40,000 salary for a year last year to employees who work at the factory.
