Dallas Cowboys defensive end J.K. Watt recorded a team-leading 31.5 sacks for the Dallas Cowboys this season, which tied for the fourth-most in the league.
The first-round pick of the Houston Texans was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week on Sunday, while fellow defensive end DeMarcus Ware won the award for the second time in three weeks.
Watt tied for third in the NFL with 32.5 total pressures, while his 14.5 tackles for loss ranked third.
Ware and linebacker D.J., the NFL’s second-leading tackler with 13.5, were tied for fifth in the conference.
Watt added two quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and a blocked punt for his league-leading 28.5 pass-rush productivity.
Dallas also recorded a season-high eight sacks, tied for fourth-highest in the NFC.
The team finished the regular season ranked sixth in the League in total defense and third in points allowed.
The win lifts Dallas to 3-0 on the season.
