But if you’ve got a candy-coloured cane lying around, it can turn out to be a real treat.

The candy cane is a great source of sugars and essential nutrients.
So, don’t be afraid to add a few candies to the mix.
Candy cane chips The most basic and easy candy cane recipe is to use two candies of your choice to create a chip.
But, for those of you who like more elaborate flavours, you can add a chocolate sauce to give it a more decadent touch.
Make sure to add some cocoa powder to make it more palatable.
You can also make a chocolate chip cake if you don.t have a cake cutter.
If that’s not an option, try to use a food processor to process the sugar into a smooth, creamy paste.
Add the candies and mix until they are all mixed together.
Use a fork to mix them into a sticky paste, then roll them up.
Fill the candy cane with the mixture, then bake at 375C for 15 minutes.
The candies will still have a little gooey inside, but it will take them a little longer to get a nice soft caramelised texture.
Make the chips in a muffin tin, or pop them in the freezer and store them in an airtight container.
You’ll be amazed how quickly you can make them with these candies.
For a more sophisticated treat, add some coconut milk and coconut cream to the mixture.
Bake the chips for 20 minutes or so, and serve with coconut ice cream and a dollop of jam.
